Contour Airlines Launches New St. Maarten–St. Thomas Route

Contour Airlines has officially launched scheduled air service between St. Maarten's Princess Juliana International Airport and St. Thomas's Cyril E. King Airport, marking a new regional connectivity milestone for both islands. The inaugural flight signals the start of regular operations on the route, giving travelers a direct link between two of the Caribbean's most visited destinations. The new service is expected to benefit tourism, business travelers, and residents who previously had to rely on indirect routing or ferry connections between the two islands. Contour Airlines, a U.S.-based regional carrier, has been expanding its Caribbean footprint with short-haul routes connecting smaller island markets. The addition of this route strengthens interisland travel options in the northeastern Caribbean and could boost visitor arrivals to both St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Officials and stakeholders from both islands are likely to view the launch as a positive development for economic activity and regional accessibility.
