Coast Guard assists fishing vessel adrift after running out of fuel

A fishing vessel was rescued after drifting at sea near St. Maarten following a fuel shortage that left it stranded. The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Fort-de-France, Martinique, detected the vessel transmitting a mayday distress alert and promptly notified the Maritime Operations Centre of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard. The Coast Guard coordinated a response to locate and assist the stricken vessel.
