Meeting Between Unions and Governor Postponed Due to Mourning

A planned meeting between Curaçao's Governor and several labor unions represented in the Central Commission of Unions (CCvV) was postponed at the last minute on September 3rd. The unions involved include ABVO, Sitek, NAPB, STrAF, and SAP. The postponement was requested by the Governor out of respect for the mourning period following the death of ABVO president George Hernandez. The meeting had been scheduled to take place in Willemstad. No new date for the rescheduled meeting has been reported. The postponement delays what was expected to be a significant dialogue between union leadership and the island's top representative.
