FKUP and Curaçao Government Extend Existing Cooperation Agreement

The Council of Ministers of Curaçao approved a cooperation agreement two weeks ago and authorized Minister of Economic Development Roderick Middelhof to sign it alongside the Federation of United Production Cooperatives (FKUP). However, according to Lutson Lucas, the agreement contains nothing new — it is simply an extension of a previously existing cooperation framework between the government and FKUP. The renewal suggests the partnership between the ministry and the cooperative federation remains ongoing and mutually agreed upon. No new terms or conditions appear to have been introduced in the updated document. The approval follows standard governmental procedure, with the Council of Ministers granting the minister formal authority to execute the signing on behalf of the government.
