Curaçao Relaunches Agrifonds With 2% Interest Loans for Farmers

The Curaçao government and Qredits Curaçao have relaunched the Agrifonds, a dedicated lending fund for entrepreneurs in the agriculture and fisheries sectors. Nearly 1.4 million guilders is now available through the fund, offered at a low interest rate of 2 percent. The initiative is designed to provide accessible financing to local farmers and fishers who may struggle to secure traditional bank loans. Qredits Curaçao, a microfinancing institution, serves as the operational partner in distributing the funds. The relaunch signals continued government commitment to supporting and sustaining Curaçao's local food production industry.
