AF&BA Launches Survey to Assess Labor Shortages in Aruba's F&B Sector

The Aruba Food & Beverage Association (AF&BA) has launched its 2026 Workforce and Carrying Capacity Survey to measure staffing shortages, training needs, and the overall tourist-serving capacity of the island's food and beverage industry. The initiative aims to collect concrete data on how many workers the sector is currently lacking and what skills gaps exist among existing staff. By understanding carrying capacity — essentially how many visitors the sector can realistically serve at a high standard — the association hopes to guide strategic planning for the industry. The survey comes as Aruba's tourism sector continues to grow, placing increasing pressure on hospitality businesses to maintain service quality with limited human resources. Results from the survey are expected to inform both industry stakeholders and policymakers on workforce development priorities heading into 2026.
