91.2% of Curaçao vehicles found compliant in traffic checks

During the past week, the Curaçao Police Corps conducted multiple traffic control operations across various districts on the island. The checks revealed that 91.2% of vehicles on the road were in full compliance with traffic laws, indicating a generally law-abiding driving population. The remaining 8.8% of vehicles were found to be in violation of one or more traffic regulations. These kinds of routine enforcement operations are carried out periodically by police units from different precincts working in coordination. The checks serve as both a deterrent and a measure of road safety compliance across Willemstad and surrounding areas. Results like these are used to assess the effectiveness of traffic law enforcement and public awareness of road regulations.
