Thammy Albertsz was officially installed as the new Commander General of the Brandweer Caribisch Nederland (BKCN), the Dutch Caribbean Fire Service, effective August 16. The installation took place in Kralendijk, Bonaire, the headquarters of the regional fire organization. Albertsz brings extensive experience from within the organization itself, having been deeply involved with BKCN prior to this appointment. In his new role, he has expressed a strong commitment to building a fire service that is both future-ready and professionally equipped.
