Four healthcare institutions on Curaçao have received new patient lift systems, improving mobility assistance for residents and patients. Minister of Health, Environment and Nature Tyron Boekhoudt of the MFK party visited the facilities on Thursday to oversee the official handover. The institutions receiving the equipment are Betesda, Hamied, Birgen di Rosario, and Kas Hugenholtz. An Australian surrogate mother has given birth to twins who are genetically unrelated to each other, in an extremely rare medical occurrence. The woman was implanted with an embryo through IVF as part of a surrogacy arrangement, but simultaneously conceived naturally on her own during the same period.
