Kitchen Fire Breaks Out at Saba After-School Care Facility

A fire broke out in the kitchen of an after-school care facility on Matthew Levenstone Street on Saba on Wednesday, July 29, at approximately 12:15 PM. The central control room received the report and emergency services were notified. Fortunately, the facility was closed at the time of the incident, meaning no staff or children were present. The fire was contained to the kitchen area. While no injuries were reported, the incident raises concerns about fire safety at childcare facilities on the small island. Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
