3 Tourist Cars Deliberately Set on Fire in Willemstad Street

Three rental cars belonging to tourists were intentionally set on fire early this morning on Frederickstraat in Willemstad, Curaçao. Authorities responded to the scene with urgency at around 5:00 a.m. after the three vehicles were found burning simultaneously. Firefighters also arrived quickly and began the process of extinguishing the flames. The fact that all three cars caught fire at the same time strongly suggests the act was deliberate arson. The incident raises immediate concerns about the safety of tourists and their property on the island. No injuries have been reported in the initial account, but the investigation is likely ongoing. The arson targeting tourist vehicles could have implications for Curaçao's reputation as a safe travel destination.
