Bonaire Kids Get Cruise Ship Experience Through Tourism Partnership

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), in partnership with Carnival Horizon, the Bonaire Harbor office, and local children's foundation Buki di Pret, organized a special cruise adventure experience for a group of local Bonaire children. The event, called the Bonaire Cruise Adventure for Kids, gave young residents a rare opportunity to explore a large cruise ship up close. The collaboration highlights TCB's effort to connect the local community — particularly youth — with the island's thriving cruise tourism industry. Buki di Pret, a Bonaire-based foundation focused on providing positive experiences for children in need, was a key community partner in making the event possible. The initiative reflects a broader trend of Caribbean tourism bodies engaging local communities rather than operating solely for visitors. By involving local children, organizers aim to foster pride and awareness around Bonaire's role as a cruise destination in the Southern Caribbean.
