Aruban Youth Get Rare Shot at EU Connection Through OCT Network

The Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) Youth Network is offering young people from Aruba a unique opportunity to build direct ties with European Union institutions through a year-long knowledge exchange program. The initiative brings together 25 young participants from 13 Dutch Caribbean countries and territories to strengthen relationships between their communities and Europe. The program is designed to give youth firsthand exposure to EU governance, policy, and institutions that directly affect their islands as OCT territories. Aruba, as an OCT of the Netherlands, maintains a special relationship with the EU, making this network particularly relevant for young Arubans looking to engage at an international level. The exchange aims to build a generation of informed young leaders who can bridge the gap between the Caribbean and European institutions.
